LIPHOOK Village Sports Day is taking place tomorrow (Saturday), with an opening ceremony at Bohunt School at 10.30am.
Invictus Games cycling gold medallist Andy Kelsey will perform the opening ceremony with Hampshire county councillor Floss Mitchell, and the day will finish at 4pm.
The aim of the sports day is to promote the facilities and sports activities available in Liphook and encourage people to come along, meet established members and play some sample games with a view to joining a club.
Basketball, cricket, gymnastics, netball, pickleball, rugby, table tennis and tchoukball sessions will all be held at Bohunt School tomorrow (Saturday).
Bowls, football and tennis sessions will be available at the recreation ground while golf sessions will be held at Liphook Golf Club tomorrow (Saturday).
Triathlon will also be part of this year’s sports day, but this event will be held at Highfield School from 10am until noon on Sunday.
