STEEP House Nursing Home has again won the Petersfield in Bloom competition.

Iijo Renji, manager of the Future Care Group home, said: “Residents were absolutely overwhelmed to have been announced as winners once again. Everyone was in agreement that the hard effort was well worth it as now they get to sit back and enjoy the beauty of the wonderful garden and its flowers.

“This year our garden has been essential in helping keep our residents active and mentally well as it has given them a space to relax as they get close to nature.

“The home could not have participated had it not been for the dedication of the home’s maintenance man Martyn Ball.

“Martyn does all the hard graft and so much of the credit must go to him.”
