IT WAS a colourful display of beautiful work that greeted people at Petersfield Physic Garden last week.

It came after The Phoenix Stitchers hosted an exhibition of their work to show to the general public.

The Stitchers had a vast array of quilting, hand embroidery, doylies and much more on display.

Their talents were clear for all to see with around 100 pieces on display.

There are more than 100 members in The Phoenix Stitchers Club and many of them had their work on show in the exhibition.

Some pieces were also available for sale to members of the public.

Phoenix Stitchers is an independent group of stitchers and crafters, ranging in all levels and abilities in the craft, who live in and around Petersfield.

They meet at the Petersfield Community Centre in Love Lane on the third Monday of every month.
