Taffy will be accompanied by Northumbrian piper and fiddler Paul Knox, who will spin beautiful music in and out of Taffy’s tales, creating even more magic on February 2.
Taffy held the honorary position of Laureate for Storytelling between 2010 and 2012. He has a repertoire of more than 300 stories, collected mainly from traditional oral sources.
Bedtime Stories, a show for all the family, will be presented at 5pm. Audiences are invited to come in their dressing gowns and slippers and can even bring along their favourite teddies to enjoy the music and stories.
In the evening, for A Riddle in the Tale, Taffy will weave a feast of riddles into the programme to engage the audience’s brains and raise a smile.
His performance will be followed by a chance to meet him – try to catch him out with a riddle and ask him to sign his new book Riddle Folk Tales.
