A SUCCESSFUL fundraising fair at Petersfield Community Centre in Love Lane was a great social occasion too, according to organisers. As well as a popular cake stall, there were a selection of stalls, a raffle, tombola, and live music from singers and bands, such as the Cascadettes Singers – and to make sure fair-goers were in good health on Saturday, there were free blood pressure checks. Community centre manager Emma Bundy said: “It was a successful and lively event, with a lovely atmosphere, it went really well and was very busy with loads of great music. We had some very generous raffle and tombola prizes donated and I would like to thank those that gave them.” Money raised went to the Petersfield Stroke Support Group, with fees for stall pitches going to the community centre to help pay for a new flat roof.
