STROUD Revels 2016 is set to be the biggest and best yet, say enthusiastic organisers.

The event at Rothercombe Farm is organised by Stroud Area Residents Association, who are proud to announce this year the headline band for the evening will be The Replays, from Petersfield.

Revels committee spokesman Derrick Higton said: “It promises to be the biggest and best yet, a fantastic day out for all the family and a great opportunity for everyone to get to know their neighbours better.” The revels on Saturday, July 30, start at 4pm, with a bouncy castle for children, and there will also be hay bales, tunnels and other obstacles for them to play on.

Then at 5pm there will be a magic show, Mr Muddle’s Magical Mayhem, and at 6.15pm the popular sheep racing will begin. All profits will go to the Oaks Special Needs Play Scheme in Froxfield.

The Replays will play later in the evening, and throughout the day there will be other attractions, a cash bar, and food stalls. Adult tickets are £5 in advance, or £7 on the day, children under two are free.

Tickets for three to 12 year olds are £2 in advance, £3 on the day.
