ANGRY sixth form students and their parents have hit out at rail ticket price increases.

They now pay the same as high-earning commuters for tickets bought before 10am, and for season tickets, which many think is unfair.

And a recent 3.5 per cent increase in ticket prices by South West Trains (SWT), further angered them.

Sam Hollis (18), from Petersfield, is a student at Godalming College. He said: "Ticket prices were already high, but despite our feedback, they went up again."

Before the rise, a Petersfield to Godalming season ticket cost £1,470. Now it is £1,521 – a £51 increase....
