PETERSFIELD Skate Park will be the venue for a free open to all skateboard, BMX, scooter and rollerblade summer jam.
Throughout the afternoon there will be pro and amateur events and demos.
Joint organiser Petersfield Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Kathryn Morning said: “It will be about having fun and there will be competitions with prizes for all abilities, from novices upwards.
“Apart from the Kings Arms Youth Centre, which will be involved on the day, there isn’t much for young people here, so this will be something to look forward to.”
Petersfield Town Council and East Hampshire social housing provider, Radian, have between them donated £2,500 toward the cost of the event.
And students from The Petersfield School are promoting the jam, holding a design competition for posters and banners.
The winner was an acrylic painting by Year 7 student Ruby Hill.
She said: “I got the idea when we were looking at triangles and they give a sense of movement to the skateboarder.”
Close runner-up was a colourful collage by Ella Hughes and Phoebe Hiscox, which really captures the vibrancy and excitement of skating, added PCSO Morning.
She also presented the students with their prizes - art materials and a voucher from Academy Arts.
Photography students from the school will be taking pictures of the event, she said.
On the day pro skaters will be judging the entrants efforts, along with Clanfield skater Harry Phelan.
The event is also supported by East Hants District Council, Academy Arts, Beaver Tool Hire, The Base Bognor, J+R Sports Limited, Tesco, Studio H, and Petersfield Football Club.
