LISS Infant School’s Mardi Gras Fair on Saturday was a big success, say organisers.
The fair was arranged by the school’s parent teacher association (PTA), and it was held at Newman Collard Playing Field in glorious sunshine.
Among the activities on offer on the day were a bouncy castle and a community Samba band, as well as a number of stalls.
PTA member Amanda Hopkins, who helped to organise the fair, said: “The fair went very well and we have had good feedback.
“The weather was perfect and everything went to plan.
“Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the Mardi Gras theme worked very well. I would like to mention Liss Band as they always give their time up for free to play for us. They are stalwarts of the community.
“We raised £2,400, and I would like to say thank you to everyone as we had so much support from parents and everyone who came.”
