LIPHOOK in Bloom stalwarts, together with several welcome new members, turned out to tidy the flower beds in Liphook.
There is a well-known saying ‘the sun shines on the righteous’ and that was certainly the case on February 7 when, after a night of wind and rain, it came out sunny for Liphook in Bloom’s volunteers.
As well as a general tidy up, two new Mountain Ash trees were planted in Station Road – one red and the other appropriately pink, just near the Cancer Research charity shop.
It was a good turnout for the first working party of the season, but Liphook in Bloom are still anxious for more helpers.

On Sunday, March 6, Liphook in Bloom will be taking part in the ‘Clean for the Queen’ campaign which has been launched to tidy up Britain in time for the Queen’s 90th birthday. The morning will be spent litter picking.
Anyone able to help should meet at the Midhurst Road car park, Liphook, at 9.30am on March 6.
