INFORMATION, advice and support to help carers feel less alone was available at a drop-in coffee morning held at the Peak Centre, Liphook.

A number of carers from Liphook and the surrounding area attended.

On hand to give advice were representatives of The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, Alzheimer’s Society, TLC, Macmillan Cancer Support, and a legal advisor on matters such as Power of Attorney.

The Liphook Carers Group aims to signpost carers to support services that can help them in their role as well as providing a listening ear and shared advice from others in a similar situation.

Sandra Bourton from Liphook Carers Group said: “We are very grateful to the organisations who came along to share their expertise with the carers in our village.

“Hopefully we have helped to show carers that they are not alone.”

The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 10am to noon at the Millennium Centre
