THE FRIENDS of Petersfield Heath are calling for a badger survey of the beauty spot after a motion-activated infra-red camera filmed a foraging badger.
Chairmen of the volunteer conservation group Richard Warton set up the camera and said: “Both badgers and foxes were filmed, and this one was filmed at 5am when it was probably making its way home.
“There is a real need for a full badger survey on the Heath, then we would know how best to conserve these important mammals.”
