LISS Area Historical Society held their first meeting at their new venue at the Triangle on January 20.
The first meeting at the new venue saw a good turnout for a talk by Julia Mayo about how the registration of births, marriages and deaths has changed since the start of central registration.
The wide ranging nature of the topics presented by Liss Area Historical Society continues this month with a talk by Robert Reid about The History of Lincoln’s Inn.
The talk will be held at the Triangle at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 17, with doors opening at 7pm.
New members are always welcome – the subscription is £12 per person or £23 per couple per year.
Anyone who would like to attend the next meeting should call Penny Briggs on 01730 892297 or just turn up at a meeting. Visitors are welcome for £3 on the door.
Anyone who wants more details about the society or to download a membership form should visit www.lissareahistorical.co.uk
