Disgruntled residents in a village between Bordon and Petersfield have set up roadblocks as tensions rise over school parking.

Concerns have been raised with Greatham Parish Council over inconsiderate parking in the village around school run times.

Councillors heard at a recent meeting that some villagers have started putting stones and wood on the road to prevent motorists parking outside their homes at peak times.

A resident also asked GPC at their February gathering how grass verges around the village could be protected from the “inconsiderate parking of parents”.

Villagers were told that a meeting with the school has been planned to discuss the problem, while the school has experienced similar issues, as they have repeatedly asked parents through their own newsletter not to park in their car park.

Residents have been warned not to leave obstacles in the road, as the homeowner may be liable for costs if a vehicle is damaged.
