HE MAY be dubbed Sunny D, but award-winning coming comedian Dane Baptiste is beset by doubt.

And he’s worked these life questions and quandaries into his acclaimed Reasonable Doubts show he is taking on his first UK tour.

This descends on Bordon on March 11, when audiences at the Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre will witness him work through agonies such as can he be a comedian distinct from the other seven black comics known in the UK, and will he now be the go-to guy on ethnicity issues?

It has been a non-stop year for Dane, with big success for his debut show Citizen Dane, multi awards at festivals and a BBC3 sitcom he has written and starred in – Sunny D – commissioned.

He is already being hailed as one of the most exciting acts to break in years, and has achieved things he only dreamed of.

So why all the doubt, about everything from worries about never having a successful relationship to where we are going as citizens?

Find out at the Phoenix, and at the Farnham Maltings on March 20. He is also at the G Live in Guildford on April 1.
