Sliproads will be closed and a temporary speed limit of 40mph will be imposed on the sections where overnight work is taking place.
Both carriageways will be affected so the Chalton Lane, Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Buriton sliproads are among those that will be sealed off at some point.
Restrictions will be put in place between 10pm and 6am while engineers are hopeful that work will last no longer than 20 nights, according to the official notice.
The first phase will involve the closure of the southbound carriageway between the Liss (Flexcombe) and Chalton Lane junctions.
Traffic will be diverted via the B2070, A272 and A32 while resurfacing takes place between 9pm this Friday and 6am the following morning.
