THE PETERSFIELD Neighbourhood Plan has been compiled by volunteers who have worked for three years on it to get it ready to be voted on.
The current steering group chairman, Richard Besant, said: “The development of the plan has been led by the community and volunteers have worked closely on it with Petersfield Town Council and the South Downs National Park Authority.
“Thousands of people have attended the workshops and exhibitions and have provided feedback to help shape how future development can be integrated in the town.
“The plan seeks to allocate strategic sites for new, and includes many other policies, covering many topics, which will help shape how the town develops in a manner that the community has said it wishes to see; careful development and use of space which results in a town that still feels compact, while closely connected to the surrounding landscape through footpath and cycle links and its many green spaces.
“It is important to consider the whole of the plan for the whole of the community, so please vote in the referendum.”
