HE TASTED success in the local election, seeing off the challenge of three rival candidates to secure Horndean (Downs) for the Conservatives.

Now Guy Shepherd has the knives out for two politicians who scoffed at exit polls that predicted a majority victory for the Conseratives.

"During the General Election count, Lord Ashdown promised to 'eat his hat' and Alistair Campbell to 'eat his kilt' if the election exit poll forecast by the BBC was correct," said Mr Shepherd.....
