A festive tractor ride that saw a convoy or about 30 tractors go through Petersfield, Buriton, Harting Rogate, Hillbrow and back to Petersfield has £5,050 for Hampshire air ambulance.

Farmer Mark Rowden of Stroud organised the event on December 17 that saw the tractors decorated with Christmas lights and other seasonal decorations.

Mark (pictured right) said: “I am pleased to finally reveal the staggering grand total of £5050.50.

“A huge “Thank You” to everyone that took part and the generous donations from the public towards the first RMW’s Charity Tractor Run.

“I set out to raise £2882, the average cost of one helicopter call out, for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

“I managed, with the support of the tractor owners and local community, an incredible £5050.50.

“This fantastic evening involved 26 tractors, a Unimog and Vintage Fire Landrover joining the event through Petersfield and surrounding villages.

“I’m very pleased to announce that 2023 will see a return of the RMW’s Charity Tractor Run.

“And my aim for this year is 50 tractors and a target of £7000 to cover the cost of two call outs.”
