THE CHAIRMAN of Petersfield Museum has paid tribute to the ‘professionalism’ of departing curator, Kathrin Pieren.

During her four-and-a-half years at the museum of St Peters Road, she has also been an ‘outstanding ambassador’ for the museum, says Vaughan Clarke.

Dr Pieren is leaving to be Collections Manager and Curator (social and military history) at the Jewish Museum in London.

Mr Clarke added: “In the time she has been with us, we have seen a fantastic advance in the professionalism at Petersfield Museum.

“She is a perfectionist, and the lengths she has gone to in her research has been an example to us all.

“We are losing a treasure from our midst, and she will certainly be a hard act to follow. We wish her every success for the future.”
