THE trial of a Hampshire school girl accused of attempted murder at her school is set to continue for at least another three days.

The 15-year-old girl pleads not guilty to attempted murder and another charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

However the girl, who was 14 at the time of the offence in April, admits a charge of being in possession of a bladed article, a four inch kitchen knife, on school grounds, and wounding with unlawful intent.

The jury heard yesterday (October 6) the school deputy head say that the girl had been a good, trustworthy, pupil before the incident which left the 15-year-old victim with a one centimetre deep chest wound.

For this case, daily trial time at Winchester Crown Court has been shortened to 10.30am to 3pm, and due to the reduced hours, it’s expected the case won’t finish till Wednesday, October 12.
