LIPHOOK-BASED national children’s charity Dreams Come True is urging all budding sports stars and enthusiasts to sign up to the annual try-a-tri event in Liphook.

Tri-High Multi-Sports Club – the triathlon club for Liphook and the surrounding area – will welcome the community on Sunday, June 18, to have a go at a triathlon involving swimming, cycling and running for children and adults, with options to suit all ages and abilities.

The family-friendly triathlon series, which will take place at Highfield School in Liphook, is open to all to ‘give it a tri’ and the deadline for entry is next Wednesday (June 14). Entry is £10 and a percentage of proceeds will go to Dreams Come True.

Tri-High Multi-Sports Club founder and chairman Barney Gray said: “There will be plenty of options and choices on the day – whether you choose to swim, bike and run, or just do one or two of the disciplines. The point is to have fun, while raising money for a worthwhile cause.”

Dreams Come True community fundraiser Yvette Copping said: “We are delighted that Barney and his team at Tri-High are supporting Dreams Come True. Without the support of the community and volunteers, we would be unable to fulfil the dreams of children and young people both locally and nationally.”
