PETERSFIELD Ukulele Band has raised more than £800 for Challengers, a charity which helps children with disabilities to play.

It collected the money last year from donations received for playing at events including the St Peter’s Church Summer Fete, the Petersfield Community Choir Concert and the Christmas Fair at the Festival Hall.

The band gave the cheque to Challengers’ community fundraising officer Emily Blackley during a break in its practice session held at The Square Brewery pub in Petersfield on January 21.
