A MUSICAL duo from East Hampshire have won a prestigious award after striking a chord with judges at an international guitar company.
Lucas and King made a name for themselves in the clubs and pubs of Petersfield but now the pair could be set for the big time after being named winners of this year’s Fender Guitars Undiscovered Artist of the Year 2018.
The duo is made of Bo Lucas and Hayleigh King, both 27. Bo is originally from Liss but the two are now based in Southampton. To win the award the pair performed in front of a live audience and judging panel of music industry experts at Tufnell Park Dome, London.
For winning the award the duo will be treated to a trip to Hollywood, Los Angeles, as well as a tour of the Fender guitar factory.

Road closures: three for East Hampshire drivers over the next fortnightThe two have performed throughout the UK and Europe over the last year and are well known across Hampshire and Sussex. They are also Glastonbury regulars and have played on The Acoustic stage, Rabbit Hole Stage and Avalon main stage.
Their original music style draws influence from 1960s pop as well as Blues and country music genres.
Lucas and King will release their self-titled debut album on November 26.
