PETERSFIELD is now home to the youngest serving minister in the United Reformed Church following a milestone ceremony.

The Rev Josh Thomas was ordained as the new minister of the Petersfield and Liss United Reformed Church.

The incumbent, who has just finished his training at Westminster College in Cambridge, was ordained in the College Street church on June 30.

Some of Josh’s friends and family members travelled great distances to watch the ceremony while representatives from the Petersfield Area Churches Together group and Mayor Hilary Ayres also attended. Wessex Synod Moderator the Rev Clare Downing, conducted the service.
