TACTICS devised by Hampshire firefighters could soon be saving lives on the other side of the Atlantic. Five US firefighters on an exchange trip from the fire department of the towns Sisters Camp and Sherman in Oregon, in January the scene of a 75,000-acre wildfire, were so impressed with a specialist method of entering a burning building they intended to promote its use on their return to the US.
