THE HOUNDS for Heroes charity has been boosted by £490 from a charity dinner organised by Petersfield Veterinary Centre. Allen Parton of the Petersfield charity, which provides specially trained assistance dogs for injured and disabled men and women in the armed forces and emergency services, received a cheque at the centre in St Peter’s Road. The staff (pictured with Allen and his ladrador EJ) are familiar with Allen’s dogs as he is a customer there. A cheque for the same amount was given to ASAP Cat Rescue.
