THE MANAGER of Winton House in Petersfield says a Victorian Fair in the town was also a great success for the centre, which saw its café “heaving” with customers.
Manager of the High Street charity centre Rachel Harford said: “Our café became a Victorian tearoom, which was heaving by the afternoon of the fair.
“It featured a Victorian music box, a valuable antique gardening book, and a hand made Victorian quilt.
“There were also Victorian games, and a supply of Victorian recipe cakes such as ginger snaps and Victoria sponge.”
Volunteers serving in the café entered into the spirit of the fair put on by Petersfield Museum on May 13, by dressing in Victorian style.
