ARE YOU in or are you out? Organisers of a hugely popular annual music event are not talking about Europe but about Meonfest, which is being held in East Meon on Saturday, June 25.

Whichever way the vote goes tomorrow (Thursday) they invite revellers to toast the stay or leave outcome at the Bereleigh estate between 3pm and 11pm.

“Whatever the outcome, they won’t leave disappointed,” they enthuse.

They couldn’t see Meonfest 2016 pass without showing recognition to one of the greatest performers the UK has produced –?the late, great David Bowie.

So, headlining the Main Stage is David Live, an acclaimed tribute band to the iconic artist who died earlier this year.

Local talent includes The Paper Trains, The Ohmz from the Isle of Wight, Chalk Flowers, Mark Vennis and Different Place and Damian Lodrick.

The festival will be opened by the East Meon Pop-Up Choir and East Meon School.

Firm favourites the Southampton Ukulele Jam are returning. Also being welcomed to the Meonfest stage are Ed and Ollie Goodale, Josh Savage and The Vincent Treacey.

The environmentally-friendly craft area is expanding this year.

Jugging Jake will be demonstrating circus skills and getting people of all ages to have a go, and there will be fairground rides for those looking for a break from the music. There will also be the opportunity to create art and to work on a large scale installation made from willow and tissue paper.

Flower garlands can be made too, to wear on the day, for that homespun festival vibe.

Stalls will be selling locally-produced food, and there will be a bar and Pimms.

Tickets can be bought at One Tree Books in Petersfield, East Meon Stores or via the website www. kabodler.com More festival details are also available at: www.meonfest.org.uk
