MORE than 40 voters asked in Petersfield have given their thoughts on how they will vote in tomorrows in or out EU referendum.
Here are just some of their views.
Jimmy Casey of Portchester said: “I’m voting to leave the European Union, purely because of immigration. This country is already overloaded as it is and I worry for the future generations. This country is an island and there is only so much space on it.”
Tina Thorne of Petersfield said: “I’m voting to leave the European Union because I am concerned about the amount of immigrants that are coming here. If the immigrants keep coming there will not be any space. We need to think about the future.”
Gina Kerrigan of Petersfield said: “I’m voting to stay in the European Union as we need to show compassion. It is such a tragedy that brave, beautiful, compassionate MP Jo Cox was killed. It is terrifying what happened. We need to unite and not be divided.”
Margaret Harvey of Waterlooville said: “I’m voting to stay in the European Union because I think it will be better for the country on the whole. If we leave the European Union the future will be uncertain, but if we stay things will stay the same as they are now.”
Phil Russell of Petersfield said: “I’m voting to stay in the European Union because we will have a better future working together. We need the European Union to get better and we can do that if we stay in. I think leaving the European Union is a bad idea.”
Richard Kinner of Midhurst said: “I’m voting to leave the European Union as we need to stop people coming into the country free of charge. We are a little island and we can’t take more people. We need to take back control of our borders.”
