AN ANNUAL fundraising walk for a Petersfield charity that helps rehome Syrian refugee families and lone Syrian children has raised £1,200.

Volunteers and supporters of the charity and refugee families it has helped settle in East Hampshire joined the third Rural Refugee Network three-mile circular Walk of Hope around Elsted.

Charity spokeswoman Genevieve Raeburn said: “This year we were delighted to be joined by so many of our refugee families and their children.

“We would like to thank all those who turned up on the day and helped make the walk such a great success,” she added.
