PETERSFIELD Speedwatch members along with an East Hampshire Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) have been out monitoring traffic speed along Pulens Lane.

The road leading to the Durford crossroads junction has become the focus of a campaign determined to stop vehicles speeding along it and make it safer.

But despite a tragic fatality at the crossroads and numerous crashes there over the years Hampshire County Council, who is responsible for roads, has done little to ease residents frustration and anger over vehicles speeding along the road.

For some years, the council has been sitting on about £300,000 of developers contributions made for road safety improvements there.
