A south of Butser man who repeatedly stole alcohol and kicked an emergency worker in the face has been jailed.
Harry Wild was recently sentenced to 54 weeks in prison for committing a handful of offences around Havant and Waterlooville.
The 29-year-old of Partridge Gardens, Wecock Farm, was sentenced for four counts of theft between April 6 and May 3 from the One Stop of Hart Plain Avenue, and a further count of assaulting a police officer on May 15.
And that meant the suspended sentence he received in December 2025 for a dangerous driving incident in Havant in April 2024 was activated.
Portsmouth Magistrates Court heard that Wild, who stole alcohol and meat worth a total £110 from the One Stop, kicked an officer in the face while resisting arrest.
“Whether you are working in a shop or in the emergency services, no one deserves to face abuse at work,” said PS Christian Lavin from the Waterlooville North Neighbourhood Policing Team.
“Wild is clearly an individual who does not care how his behaviour impacts those around him.”
