ONE OF the most successful UK music stars has reputedly bought an £8m home near East Meon.

Mancunian Noel Gallagher has been seen at Petersfield station, almost run over by a shopping trolley in Rams Walk, and visited local restaurants.

He now has a new group, High Flying Birds, but as Oasis, he and brother Liam faced off against Blur in the 1995 Battle of Britpop; Blur won hitting number one with the ironic Country House about a city dweller moving to a ‘very big house in the country’.
