THE PETERSFIELD In Bloom judging took place on Thursday 14th July on a sunny and warm day.

The eight judges this year were from Clanfield Gardening Club (two judges) East Meon (four judges), and Privett (two judges). At a reception in the Town Hall, the Town Mayor, Cllr James Deane welcomed the judges before they ventured out with Councillors on four different routes throughout the town of Petersfield.

On returning, the judges marked their papers in the Council Chamber and expressed their delight at such a high standard of entrants that they had seen across the town.

The Town Council would like to thank everyone who have participated this year in making Petersfield a beautiful town during the summer months, and particularly those who entered Petersfield In Bloom. As is often said, it is not about winning, but about participating, and we are grateful to all those who once again made Petersfield In Bloom a success.

The prize giving will be held on Wednesday 6 October 2016 in the Rose Room, when Petersfield in Bloom’s President, gardening expert Pippa Greenwood, will present the awards.

This year’s recipient of Petersfield In Bloom’s Jenny Turner Prize, which recognises special effort, will also be announced on that evening. All competitors, judges and members of the public are welcome to attend the Awards Evening.
