EXCELLENCE in customer service by Winchester City Council has been recognised again.

Following an independent inspection, the authority has retained its status of meeting the national standard for customer service excellence.

Its staff were found to have shown commitment to putting the customer at the heart of service delivery.

The council also used customer feedback to inform policy and make improvements.
