Thousands of people woke up to a winter wonderland this morning with much of the Petersfield and East Hampshire area getting an overnight dusting of snow.
A couple of centimetres have fallen in some parts of the Post & Herald patch with the South Downs, Meon Valley and Alresford area getting a sprinkling of the white stuff.

There’s a good chance the snow and frost will last the day with temperatures likely to hover around freezing for the next 24 hours, with a slight rise expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Our roving reporter took these seasonal shots of Buriton and Petersfield Heath Pond around 8am this morning. If you’ve got any snow pictures you would like to share with us, feel free to email [email protected]
