POLICE are appealing for information following an assault on two men in the central car park in Petersfield.

The two 20-year-old’s approached a group of men and women who were all dressed up as cricket players, at around 1am on May 8.

An argument occurred and the two friends were assaulted by some of those within the group, one being pushed to the ground and another punched in the face.

Fortunately no one required hospital treatment.

Petersfield Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack, which happened close to a busy kebab shop in Bakers Lane off the car park, or to anyone who may have seen the group dressed as cricketers earlier in the evening.
