Boar spotted near East Meon as sightings continue in Petersfield areaThe Newman Collard Playing Field Trust (NCPFT) was successful in bidding for a £75,000 grant for the work from Biffa Award, a multi-million pound fund which helps to build communities and transform lives through awarding grants to community and environmental projects across the UK as part of the Landfill Communities Fund. Additional funding was provided by Liss Parish Council.
NCPFT chairman Dorothy Collard said: “It is exciting to see the progress that is being made installing the new equipment that the children of Liss have chosen for our park.
“I’m delighted to be able to report that the park will be open for everyone to enjoy in time for the October half term. We’ll be holding the official opening ceremony on October 20.
“I’d like to thank Biffa Award and Liss Parish Council for the funding that has made delivery of the new park possible.”
