Petersfield Ladies II 12 Yateley Ladies IV 0: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ second team had lost the away fixture against Yateley at the start of the season, but they were awarded the three points due to an admin error from Yateley.

This made the team a little wary of their opponents and Petersfield felt they would need to work hard to beat a young Yateley team. Petersfield’s fast attacking pace left Yateley dumbfounded and Broome scored the first goal within the first minute. King then scored with a shot from the top of the D that hit the backboard. Yateley managed to break a few times, but any attack was swiftly pushed back by Petersfield’s defence. Purkiss scored twice, while Broome scored her second and O’Kelly scored her first. At half time Petersfield were 6-0 up.

Yateley’s keeper made some good saves in the second half, but Purkiss added another two to her two first-half goals. O’Kelly and Conran were both given the opportunity to score from a short corner, while Broome had to work for her hat-trick by driving the ball from the halfway line all the way to score. King finished off with the last goal a minute before the final whistle.
