Southampton Ladies IV 0 Petersfield Ladies II 8: PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s ladies’ second team put in a solid performance against Southampton Hockey Club’s ladies’ fourth team.

Soon after the first whistle O’Kelly made a run past the defenders for a one on one with the goalie and she scored the first goal.

Stockley, Sands and Eddy made up the Petersfield defence, and they weren’t threatened by the Southampton team and kept the ball out of their own half for the majority of the game. This allowed Preston, Sinclair, Llewelyn and Conran to switch the ball in the midfield and make decent runs.

Preston produced some good shots and crosses, allowing Purkiss to score two goals before the end of the first half. O’Kelly scored the fourth goal from a bouncy short corner.

Petersfield goalkeeper Lowe kept a clean sheet and the goals continued to come for Petersfield in the second half, making the final score 8-0.
