Swanmore v Clanfield: CLANFIELD lost a high-scoring game at Swanmore.

The visitors batted first and Kevin Goodship hit five boundaries to get the scoreboard moving before he was caught off opening bowler Pras Satymoorthi for 25.

Will Andrews took the attack to the Swanmore bowlers and added 50 for the second wicket with Freddie Tilley before Sam Williams bowled Tilley for 17.

Williams then dismissed Phil Weaver for a duck, but Andrews scored freely and reached his half-century.

Andrews and John Windebank shared a 112-run partnership and Andrews reached his century off just 68 balls and retired to give others a chance to bat.

Windebank then hit a couple of lusty blows until he was caught for 31, and Matt Bradley scored 34 not out off 13 balls, including four sixes, to get the visitors up to 237-4 from their 40 overs.

Clanfield opening bowlers Jonny Mash and Jugal Kishore got an early wicket each as Kishore had Dan Croft caught at point for eight and Mash bowled Chris Matthews for eight.

Andy Maitland and Simon Watson added 63 before Chris Buckle broke the partnership when Watson was caught by John Windebank for 44. Adam Smith then bowled Maitland for 35 to leave Swanmore on 98-4.

Alex Ball scored 61 to put Swanmore back on top, but Bradley got the big wicket of Ball and dismissed Jim Miller for 11. Weaver dismissed Williams for seven but Swanmore captain Trevor Hopkins hit 40 not out to give the hosts a three-wicket victory.
