Liss v Clanfield: CLANFIELD captain Mike Collins won the toss and elected to bat first.

Kevin Goodship and Adam Smith were watchful early on until Smith fell for nine. Matt Bradley and Goodship added 66 for the second wicket before Goodship fell for 30, and John Windebank and Bradley added 117 for the third wicket before Bradley fell for 89. Windebank and Alex Andrews added late runs as Clanfield scored 209-3 from 40 overs.

Liss’ run chase started poorly as Collins took three wickets in his first three overs. Collins took his fourth wicket when Clark was caught by Bob Wheeler for 28, and Roy Goulding dismissed Chris Allcock to leave Liss on 46-5. Phil Moore and Richard Pleace added 97 in quick time before Adam Smith bowled Moore for 48. Smith then bowled Waine, and Bob Wheeler dismissed Davey for 13. Bradley bowled Pleace for 97 as Liss finished on 201-9 and Clanfield won by eight runs.
