Bedhampton IV v Petersfield II: AFTER two weeks without a game because of a bye and the weather, Petersfield looked to get back to winning ways as they faced Bedhampton in Emsworth.
Bedhampton won the toss and elected to bowl first.
The first wicket fell when Dave Squires (three) was trapped leg before wicket by Andy Wellen (2-27).
Fergus and David Evans took the score to 49 before D Evans was clean bowled for 19 by Tom Moore (1-20).
James Longland and F Evans produced a good partnership which was broken when Longland was dismissed leg before wicket for 22 by Daniel Frostick (1-11).
Clive Shore added 17 to keep the momentum going, and F Evans was bowled for 32 by Roy Goulding (1-28).
David Longland (23 not out), Nathan Barlow (eight) and Mark Holloway (five not out) added useful runs as Petersfield finished on 157-6 at the end of their 40 overs.
Bedhampton started their innings slowly as Petersfield captain Steve Gibson (1-16) and Barlow (2-5) bowled tight lines and lengths.
Bedhampton skipper Wellen fell for five and opening partner Goulding was dismissed for a duck.
Only Peter Ford reached double figures and scoreboard pressure led to two quick wickets as Ford fell for ten and Sudip Sen was run out for three.
Jack Butcher (4-10) then removed Dave Hickley for two and Callum Burridge for a duck, and Paul Clarke (2-5) bowled James Barry and Frostick. Butcher bowled Steve Gritt for a duck as the hosts were bowled out for 42.
