Elsted v Stansted Park: STANSTED Park won the toss and batted and they were soon regretting this decision as Archie Wadey and Jordan Bates had their side in disarray at 36-4.

Elsted’s players did not loosen their grip on the game as Jake Wadey and Anthony White sent Stansted Park slumping further to 70-7. Only a last wicket stand of 25 gave Stansted Park a presentable score of 112 all out. The Elsted attack shared the wickets between a number of bowlers.

In reply, Elsted lost Andy Wadey for nine, and young White was run out for three. Archie Wadey battled but he lost Chalton and Jake Wadey cheaply. Archie Wadey was eventually caught for a patient knock of 21. Elsted crashed to 66-6, but Ken Chapman and Bates took control and this pair saw Elsted through to victory by four wickets, with Chapman undefeated with 37 runs to his name.
