Petersfield II v Trojans II: TROJANS won the toss and asked Petersfield to bat first.

The score moved on to 20 before Omar Iqbal was trapped plumb in front for a duck by a full swinging delivery by Jeremy Budd (2-29).

Dave Squires (24) and skipper Chris Russell (59) added 44 before Squires was caught off a leading edge by Budd in his follow through.

After a slow start from Oscar Amis (75), he piled on the runs with Russell, and the partnership was broken in the 35th over with the score on 154. William Shore (13) took advantage of a tiring Trojans side to help put on 42 in six overs. Shore got out trying to hit Tom Haywood (3-43) back over his head, and Haywood picked up two more wickets in the last over to leave Petersfield on 206-6.

Trojans looked up for the run chase as the opening pair of Dinesh Ranga (37) and skipper Tom Strudley put on 62 for the first wicket. Ranga in particular hit some lusty blows to the boundary.

Amis (2-27) and Russell (1-24) put the brakes on the scoring with some accurate bowling. Amis had Ranga caught by Oscar Windebank at mid-on and then caught Sturdley off his own bowling, leaving Trojans 82-2, before Russell dismissed keeper Alex Hill for eight.

Adam Childs picked up his first wicket in his second over and found his line and length to take four wickets.

Anish Joshi (16) tried to counter attack but could only find Windebank at long-on to give Childs his first five-for.

Spinner Childs then dismissed Tom Haywood to finish with very impressive figures of 6-19 as Petersfield won by 53 runs.
