Liphook & Ripsley v Totton & Eling: LIPHOOK and Ripsley’s first team earned an impressive 110-run victory at home to Totton and Eling’s first team at Ripsley Park on Saturday in Division 1 of the Southern Premier Cricket League.

Liphook batted first and got off to a solid start as Rob Nicklin (11), Gabriel Broadhurst (26), Ben Tibble (43) and Suman Ganguly (30) all made solid contributions. Dan Wrenn top scored with 52, and Sean Burton (18 not out) gave the innings some late momentum as Liphook were bowled out for 219 in the 48th over.

Liphook got off to a good start in the field as Ganguly (4-19) took two early wickets to reduce the visitors to 1-2. Jimmy Taylor (34) top scored for Totton and Eling, but their innings never got going and the visitors were bowled out for 109 in the 39th over. As well as Ganguly, Burton (3-35), George Neave (1-21) and Charles Janczur (1-11) were in the wickets for Liphook.
