Liphook & Ripsley v Portsmouth: LIPHOOK and Ripsley’s first team crashed to a comprehensive eight-wicket defeat against Portsmouth’s first team at Ripsley Park on Saturday in Division 1 of the Southern Premier Cricket League.
The hosts batted first and slipped to 45-3 as Gabriel Broadhurst (two), Ben Tibble (one) and Rob Nicklin (13) all fell cheaply. Suman Ganguly (41) and Harry Munt (15) added 39 for the fourth wicket, but Dan Wrenn (four) fell cheaply and Liphook slipped to 93-6. George Neave (40) and Grant Rouse (12) added 45 for the seventh wicket, which was the largest partnership of the innings. Sean Burton (eight) and Charles Janczur (eight) both fell cheaply as Liphook were bowled out for 177 in the 46th over. The visitors made short work of the run chase as they cruised to their victory target in just the 32nd over. Henry Farrant (72) and Fraser Hay (67) were both in the runs.
