Liphook &?Ripsley III v St Cross Symondians VI: WINNING the toss yet again, Liphook elected to bat.

After the worst possible start, with opener Dave Coombes caught out for a duck, John Strong and Danny Zaman started to build the Liphook innings. The pair built an impressive partnership for the second wicket before John Strong was out for 72. Connor Welfare scored eight before Toby Flack entered the fray, and finished on an unbeaten 51. But the batting honours went to Zaman who scored his debut century in adult cricket with a superb 103 not out as Liphook managed 266-3 in their 42 overs.

The St Cross Symondians batsmen found playing against Liphook equally difficult, with only Osman and N Tall reaching double figures. The end came after 32 overs with Liphook restricting St Cross to 76 all out. Three wickets for Dan Wrenn and four for the veteran Dave Elliott did the damage.
