THE DISTRICT’S cricket teams were frustrated by the weather on Saturday, as heavy rain led to plenty of matches being abandoned without a result in the Hampshire Cricket League.

In County Division 2, Petersfield first team’s match against Locks Heath’s first team at the Heath was abandoned.

In County Division 3 North, the matches between Steep’s first team and Michelmersh and Timsbury’s first team, Compton and Chandlers Ford’s second team and Liphook and Ripsley’s second team, and Liss’ first team and Steeple Langford’s first team were all abandoned.

In County Division 4 South, the match between Froxfield’s first team and Fair Oak’s third team was abandoned.

In Regional Division 1 South, the matches between Locks Heath’s second team and Petersfield’s second team, and Hursley Park’s third team and Steep’s second team were abandoned.

In Regional Division 4 North East, the matches between Petersfield’s third team and Hook and Newnham Basics’ fifth team, Easebourne’s first team and Liss’ second team, and Liphook and Ripsley’s third team and Froxfield’s second team were all abandoned.
